WELCOME TO Dr. Marys Books!
Thank you for your interest in my new children's books! For those of you who don't know me, I am a veterinarian in the Indianapolis area. I've been in practice for over ten years, and recently had to take a sebbatical due to the development of severe allergies to animals (I know, horribly ironic!) Though this was very sad news for me, I have embraced the opportunity to pursue my passion for writing and illustrating.
My first book, "The Lonely Little Puppy" was written for all the children who have expressed an interest in animal welfare and veterinary medicine. All the proceeds from the sale of this book go towards my non-profit organization: "Cherished Life." I am currently pursuing representation from an agency to launch the publication of my next four picture books. I will keep you posted on that process!!
If you are one of my wonderful clients - I'm hoping for the allergy treatments to get me back to caring for your Furry Family members very soon. I miss you all dearly.
